The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, engaged in a series of diplomatic discussions via phone calls on Monday. One notable conversation was with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif. The dialogue centered on enhancing bilateral relations and evaluating the latest regional developments. The focus was on Pakistan’s efforts to mediate and reduce tensions, aiming to bolster security and stability across the region.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed Qatar’s gratitude for Pakistan’s mediation, which has been pivotal in achieving a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. He reiterated Qatar’s full backing of Pakistan’s peaceful mediation initiatives and emphasized the importance of all involved parties participating to create an environment conducive to negotiations. The ultimate goal is to reach a comprehensive agreement that ensures long-lasting peace in the region.

In another diplomatic effort, the Qatari Prime Minister spoke with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud. Their conversation reviewed the bilateral ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, focusing on strengthening these relations. They also discussed regional developments, particularly the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and ongoing de-escalation efforts. Sheikh Mohammed condemned a recent drone attack targeting Saudi Arabia and assured Qatar’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all necessary measures for its security and sovereignty.

The Qatari Prime Minister also communicated with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
